Joyce Smith

I've always been involved with textiles, from about the age of 5 when I started embroidery, then needlepoint, then bobbin lacemaking. I came late to quilting - the mid 1990s - and was only going to make 2 quilts for the spare bedroom. Oops!

My quilts are available through JoyceSmithQuilts and the range currently covers various sizes of Bed / Cot / Lap and I-Spy handmade patchwork quilts. The I-Spy quilts contain over 60 novelty fabrics and come in 6 categories: unisex / boys / girls / animal themed / farm themed and Scottish. Each of my quilts is unique and all my quilts are made from 100% cotton (unless otherwise specified) with 80% cotton + 20% Polyester wadding. I quilt on an HQ Avante 18" long-arm machine for the bigger quilts.

Working with VisitScotland as well as currently being a member of the Lace Guild, FOCUS, Art Craft Finder, Etsy and the Scottish Artists Union.
